Can I walk in for an appointment?
Appointments made ahead of time are always your best bet, but walk-ins are usually available depending on the day and time. Feel free to give us a call on your way and we’ll let you know if we can fit you in.
Where are you located?
Silk Hair Studio is located in the midtown VCU Fan area at 1657 W. Broad St., between Lombardy and Allen Ave, directly across the street from Lowes.
Is there parking?
There’s a parking lot next to Silk and street parking is also available.
What form of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, and debit cards. No checks
How long will the weave service take?
The service will take 3 to 4 hours depending on the length and thickness of your natural hair.
How long do you suggest I keep my weave in?
A hair weave can be kept in for about 12 weeks. If you decide to leave it in longer you risk the hair underneath becoming matted and tangled.
Do you work with different hair types?
Yes, we can service all hair types including African-American , Caucasian, Latino, mixed race etc.
What type of hair do you recommend for a natural looking weave?
I recommend you use high quality human hair of your choice for your weave. Lower quality hair tends to matte and tangle after a couple of washes. However, we do offer virgin hair here at the salon to purchase.
Is it true that your salon offers FREE Wi-Fi?
Yes. Silk Hair Studio offers complimentary Wi-Fi service
Can I bring my child to the salon?
Children are only permitted in the salon when having a service. For safety reasons no child under the age of 12 may accompany you while you are having a service. We love children, and we hope you understand, we cannot assure their safety in a salon environment. We also do not want to compromise the relaxation of our guests. YOUR UNDERSTANDING IS GREATLY APPRECIATED
