Massage

Let your aches and pains melt away with our professional massage therapy.

Deep Tissue Massage

50 min - $70     80 min - $110

Deep tissue massage is like Swedish massage but is used to target knots and release chronic muscle tension.  If you have pain or tension in a specific area of your body, massaging those muscles along with other muscles with that referral pain, will help alleviate the pain that is occurring. We will assist you to become more aware of your posture and educate you about the muscular system.  We incorporate stretches in the massage and show you how to stretch at home to aid in the healing process. This massage is good for chronic pain, general soreness or stiffness, loss of range of motion, neck pain, TMJ (grinding, clenching), low back pain, sciatica, knee problems, carpal tunnel syndrome, rotator cuff problems and much more.

The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons, and fascia (the protective layer surrounding muscles, bones and joints). The more intense movements and techniques such as deep finger pressure may be slightly uncomfortable and cause soreness that lasts a couple of days before resulting in the desired relaxation and pain relief.

Swedish/Esalan Massage

50 min - $70     80 min - $110

Swedish massage is the style that comes to mind when most people think about massage.  It was developed in Stockholm a couple of centuries ago and is the most common and best-known type form of bodywork performed today.

The goal is relaxing the entire body and this is accomplished by rubbing the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart.  Additional techniques include circular pressure applied by the hands and palms, firm kneading, percussion-like tapping, bending and stretching.  Oil is often used to reduce friction and stimulate the skin.

Swedish massage is exceptional for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension.

Sports Massage

50 min - $70     80 min - $110

Sports massage is geared toward athletes of every kind, from world-class professionals to weekend joggers.  The particulars of the massage are specific to the athlete’s sport of choice and are often focused on a particular troublesome area like a knee or shoulder.

Aspects of massage are gaining popularity as useful components in a balanced training regimen.  Sports massage can be used as a means to enhance pre-event preparation and reduce recovery time for maximum performance during training or after an event.  Athletes have discovered that specially designed massage promotes flexibility, removes fatigue, improves endurance, helps prevent injuries, and prepares them to compete at their absolute best.

Pregnancy Massage

50 min - $70     80 min - $110

Celebrate this special time of life with treatments designed to pamper, relax, and remember the joys of pre-motherhood while treating the common aches and pains which so often accompany a rapidly-changing body. While all of these services and the products used are generally considered safe during pregnancy, you should always get your doctor's permission in advance of scheduling.

Specially designed for the most deserving of clients, this Swedish-style massage will help maintain the skin's elasticity while alleviating added stress on the back and legs.  After the first trimester, lying face down during a massage increases the pressure on the uterus as well as the uterine ligaments. The safe alternative is to position the pregnant client on her side with her head, legs and stomach supported with pillows. The therapist can then work safely on her back and legs without creating any increased pressure. Please check with y
our doctor before scheduling.
