Hi! My name is Emilee and I’m proud to call myself a stylist at Tortoise & the Hair. I’ve known for a long time that helping people is what I was meant to do, and that passion is what brought me into the world of hairstyling.
My favorite parts of the job are connecting with my amazing guests, as well as doing highlights and fun fashion colors! I take continued education classes and am a Redken Shades Specialist. I am Mizani Aircut certified and love delivering curls that you will love!
Outside of work I enjoy snuggling with my kitty, crocheting, and taking naps, as well as anything that gets me outdoors. I’m taking new guests and would love to help make anyone feel beautiful on the outside as well as the inside!

I’ve had two haircuts from Emilee within the past year. She has done an amazing job both times and I cannot be happier with my hair, and the care that these ladies put into their art and craft. I had the pleasure of getting my hair cut by Emilee for my first time at Tortoise. I LOVED this place. I wish I could give more stars. I booked a color, cut, and style, and Emilee was a star at executing my vision. She did a perfect dry cut on my hair and I felt exceedingly satisfied with how it turned out. The color that her and her assistant picked for me was also perfect to go back to my natural color. I also enjoyed the vibe of this salon so much, such a clean and homey place. Everyone was so welcoming and I had a super comfortable experience. With this being my first review for a salon, I can’t recommend this place enough!!!!!!!! Thank you Tortoise!

Emilee made my curly cut a positive and delightful experience. Not only was she very kind about my past negative experiences, but she truly cared to listen to my wants and executed them to perfection. I have finally found a salon that I can trust and will absolutely continue to see Emilee for any of my curly hair needs.
